With it's Internet Printing application, Photo-online provides labs and brands the ability to receive orders via the Internet through a web based application. Currently the solution is very stable and currently running over 100 brands with success.

There is no need for the consumer to first download and install an offline client to start uploading pictures for printing.

The web based client software works cross platform and cross browser. So all potential customers can be reached with one application only, which makes this uniquely a universal platform application to send and order prints.

We offer the option to license Photo-Online, including full source code, for your own business. This will set you free to follow your own, independent path.

This is the source code to the full application. Photo-Online today still has over 100 brands/customers active on this same source code.

You effectively gain full access to more than 10+ man-years of development and experience at only a fraction of the cost (starting at 3.500 EUR excl VAT). This way you can deploy the application on your own infrastructure (optional 3rd party managed hosting is available) and exploit all of it's potential.

You have full access to the source code (also historic revisions), you can even adapt and evolve the product to your own specifications.

Licence types

All licences include ALL features and all benefits. Cost of the license is depending on:

  • Target business territory
  • Single company or full resale: if it is to be used for one company or if it will also be resold to other companies as a service (the source code and product itself cannot be resold)
  • Exclusivity: within each business territory it is possible to buy exclusivity so no other PO licence will be sold in that region during a certain time

Optional services

  • Usage training: get trained on how to use and manage the system once up and running.
  • Architectural training: sit side to side with one of our architects to get up to speed quicker.
  • Installation service: we install Photo-Online on an environment of your choice so you don't have to (subject to specific requirements).
  • Managed hosting environment: if you don't want to host yourself, the 3rd party company that is currently hosting the Photo-Online system can also host for you. They already have expertise with the PO system so you don't need to worry about hosting anymore.

Requirements

  • Access to a private LAMP hosting environment (at least 1 server)
  • Ubuntu Linux / Apache / MySQL / Various supporting tools (like ImageMagick, etc)
  • PHP 5.2 (the solution is developed in this language)
  • Senior knowledge (internal or provided by a 3rd party) of the above technologies

Limitations

  • Currently the solution is very stable and currently running over 100 brands with success. However, no new development has been done since beginning of 2011 with the exception of critical bug-fixes.
  • Photo-Online does not offer any warranty or support on the source code. Although we know it is stable now, there can still be small bugs or future enhancements required.
  • Documentation is only available in the form of source code, comments, database design and limited API documentation. Due to open nature of the used technologies (PHP and MySQL), it should be fairly easy for any senior PHP developer to understand and further develop the solution.
